In the movie, "Serendipity", the one man refers to his friend as being a 'Jackass' because of his ability to do the things needed to be done to follow his passion...if that is so, if that is the meaning of being a jackass, then so am I, a jackass. I've dealt with that my entire life...when my father left our family when I was 9 on a windy night. I can't sleep since...and when the wind kicks up it all comes back.
